ALF and FD-ULHT formalize protocol for the creation of knowledge

The Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting (ALF) and the Law School of the Lusófona University of Lisbon (FD-ULHT) signed a protocol last Friday to develop joint activities and projects of common interest, making available to students the support of the association by sharing knowledge and documentation on Specialized Financing.

Luís Augusto, president of ALF, explains that "this protocol is a new step in the collaboration that ALF has developed with Academia. Students, professors and researchers at the Law School of the Lusófona University can count on our support in providing statistical data and relevant legislation on Leasing, Factoring and Renting. With this protocol, a new communication channel is created between these students and researchers and our Members". The spokesman also points out that "this is the first time that the ALF signs a protocol with a Law School".

José de Faria Costa, director of ULHT's Law School, considers that "the implementation of this type of protocol is part of a vast university policy that aims to solidify the role of the Law School in the interplay of relationships with the most prestigious players, with a view to pursuing our motto: training lawyers with a full body".

The partnership, signed with the Faculty, and which also extends to the Francisco Suárez Center for Advanced Studies in Law (CEAD) of the FD-ULHT, will enable joint training and scientific activities, as well as scientific research, especially among Masters and PhD students. The initial duration will be four years, after which the renewal will be re-evaluated.

This protocol means for ALF a new link to the Academia, joining those already made with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, with Dom Dinis Business School, ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics of the Portuguese Catholic University.
