ALF celebrates 40th Anniversary

The Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting (ALF), established on the 28th February 1984, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with great enthusiasm tomorrow. To mark this significant occasion, ALF is holding a commemorative dinner at the Palácio Nacional de Queluz for its members and institutional guests.

The event, which will be attended by 200 participants from ALF Members and public entities, promises to be a memorable evening of reflection on past achievements and vision for the future.

Over four decades, ALF has played a key role in the development and promotion of these sectors, contributing significantly to the country's economic growth. Since joining ALF, its members have been responsible for financing 100 billion euros through Leasing in movable assets and real estate; for acquiring 585 billion euros in Factoring receivables; and Renting has acquired 508,000 new light vehicles, worth 10.6 billion euros.

During the dinner, there will be moments to honour the Association's former chairmen and employees who have worked in these sectors for over 30 years. The end of the dinner will be marked by a video message addressed to ALF by His Excellency, the President of the Portuguese Republic, Prof. Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

ALF would like to thank all its members, partners and colleagues who have contributed to the continued success of the Association and the Leasing, Factoring and Renting sectors it represents. The 40th anniversary is a milestone that symbolises not only the ongoing resilience of the specialised financing sector, but also its future development and progress.
