ALF National Convention 2026

The 2026 ALF National Convention took place today, bringing together the Leasing, Factoring and Renting sectors at Morais Leitão in Lisbon, under the theme ‘Investing in the Future’.

The annual event, which was attended by around 130 participants, began with speeches by Paulo Portas and Luís Augusto, President of ALF. It also featured three panel discussions, the first of which focused on the theme “Business Competitiveness and the Role of Specialised Financing”, and comprising Ana Rosas Oliveira, Board Member of BPI; Ana Carvalho, Board Member of Caixa Geral de Depósitos; João Nuno Palma, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of Millennium BCP; Isabel Silva, Board Member of Banco Montepio; Amílcar Lourenço, Board Member of Banco Santander; and moderated by Margarida Torres Gama, Partner at Morais Leitão.

The second panel on “Strategic Investment for the Future” featured António Ramalho, President of Lisboa Feiras Congressos e Eventos and Vice-President of the AIP Foundation, Berta Dias da Cunha, President of the Portuguese-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILE), Gustavo Paulo Duarte, President of the Portuguese Confederation of Trade and Services (CCP), and moderated by Eduardo Maia Cadete, Partner at Morais Leitão

The final panel, dedicated to mobility, comprised Helder Pedro, Secretary-General of ACAP, Gonçalo Castelo Branco, Head of E-mobility at EDP; Luís Magalhães, Fleet Director at Stellantis Portugal; and was moderated by Rui Gidro, Partner at Deloitte.

The ALF National Convention concluded with a speech by the Minister of Reform, Gonçalo Matias.

The second edition of the ALF Specialised Financing Awards also took place, with 11 awards presented across two categories designed to recognise the institutions that stood out most in terms of production volume and growth. In addition, this year four Honourable Mentions were awarded in the “Sustainable Future” category and two Honourable Mentions in the “Innovation with Impact” category.
